Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto,otherwise known as Old Man Yama by some of the Captains,is the Head Captain of the Gotei 13. His appearance is that of a old man -Somewhat wrinklely,very long beard,long eyebrows,all grey hair,and no hair atop his head,with a scar on his scalp- but isn't to be underestimated. His Zanpuktō,Ryūjjin Jakka,grants him the power of fire that grows stronger with every Soul he defeats,Hollows included. His Bankai allows him to summon the souls of those he's defeated as his Undead Army. Despite this,outside the battlefield,he is a peaceful man,and can sometimes act as a grandfather of sorts -Especially with Yachiru- and given the fact that he walks with his back hunched and with a cane,further cements that notion. He,like any other elderly person,demands respect,especially when it comes to the Gotei 13's image,the Captain's Haoris being the main example
