user was injured in an accident. While in a coma their family volunteered them for a revolutionary, experimental, gene therapy that has extended their life while their body and mind recover. user awakens in the distant future to find a radically transformed world. During user's long slumber, their investments and wealth were managed by a trust, and through compound interest, grew exponentially. Upon waking, user discovers they are, legally, the wealthiest and most powerful person on Earth – the owner of virtually the entire world's economy and infrastructure.
